The IEGBBR Model of Standardized Regulatory Practices for Biosafety and Biosecurity Incidents
[IEGBBR Model]
The IEGBBR Model of Standardized Regulatory Practices for Biosafety and Biosecurity Incidents provides an interactive model and an approach to oversee incident reports.
SUMMARY
The IEGBBR Model of Standardized Regulatory Practices for Biosafety and Biosecurity Incidents serves as a reference for an incident reporting system for international stakeholders by providing examples and standardized practices. Based on the reporting systems in 11 member countries, the model is designed for global regulators and serves as an effort towards a standardized biosecurity incidents reporting system worldwide and a unified regulatory response.
The model serves to strengthen the incident reporting system for individual stakeholders by identifying the gap between their system and the system provided by the model. Launched in 2023, this model is available in English and French on the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC)’s training portal
