The Biosecurity Map clarifies the responsibility in biosecurity for both public and private sectors including ministries, public agencies, and international forums by mapping the national regulations and regimes. By stating the internal legal framework, international and national institutional architecture, and other international instruments, the map serves as a reference for other countries for the matter of biosecurity.

Coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union, the Biosecurity Map involves the contribution from all ministries within Spain participating in the Specialized Committee on Non-Proliferation.
